Our back garden is more than a place to sit; it is an experiment in regenerative agriculture. The Terai plains are prone to heavy monsoons and intense heat, so we have implemented a multi-layered permaculture system. Large banana palms provide shade for smaller herbs and vegetables, while our composting system turns cafe waste into nutrient-dense soil. We use zero chemical pesticides, relying instead on companion planting and local neem oil to manage pests. This garden provides the mint for your lemonade and the lemongrass for your tea, but it also serves as a cooling sink for the entire property. We want to show that even a small urban plot can be converted into a productive, cooling, and life-sustaining space that gives back more than it takes from the earth.
